Quality with an origin
Safety with regard to origin, quality and freshness is for us a claim as responsible suppliers to which we have devoted ourselves in times of meat scandals.
Where a piece of meat comes from, the properties it has and its itinerary is only difficult to assess from the outside. Serious labelling of each individual piece is all the more important.
With EC labelling order no. 1760/2000 of the BLE (Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung – Federal Institute of Agriculture and Nutrition) in Frankfurt, the legislator has created a regulation, the aim of which is to render accessible to the consumer all the relevant information concerning origin, identification and characteristics of the meat supplied.
The resulting regulations concerning indication and guarantee of the origin on the labels have considerably contributed to restoring confidence in beef.
For us, perfect labelling of all the meat goods offered is a matter of course which we do not just pursue on introduction of legal rules. KURTH Fleischimporte has an own authorised beef labelling system for continuous traceability back to the breeder. Authorisation number: De-05-1998-BLES 0020-0.
