More tender, tastier and longer-lasting
Quality and taste go hand in hand with meat specialities from KURTH. Many of our imported meat specialities can also be stored for longer than comparable products of domestic origin. A plus for the trade and a plus for the consumer.

We attach the greatest importance to high quality meat and maximum hygiene during production. The products are delivered to the refrigerated warehouse by direct routes, without breaking the cold chain from the slaughtering company to the consumer. Consequently, Argentinean beef properly stored at 0°C can therefore be stored for up to five months.

During its 3 to 4 weeks of transport to Germany, the mean has ample time to gently mature. It therefore becomes tenderer and can develop its full, unique flavour.

Beef of domestic origin can only be kept for four weeks as a rule. We therefore offer the trade a considerably longer sales interval and the final consumer a higher degree of certainty of receiving perfect goods.

Quality that lasts longer
Shelf-life is considerably further increased when deep frozen:

• Beef has excellent freezing characteristics and remains storable for 10-12 months at -18 °C
(3*** freezing compartment).
• Veal can be kept in the frozen state for 8–10 months.
• Pork can only be kept for approximately 4–6 months owing to its fat properties.
• Lamb is likewise very well suited to deep freezing. Its shelf-life: 10–12 months.

Incidentally, the following rule also applies that the shelf-life is shortened the fatter and more finely cut up the meat is.
