Quality is not by chance
KURTH Fleischimporte stands for quality, competence and service. The wishes of our demanding customers are the guidelines to which our actions are geared – consistently and goal-oriented. We pay particular attention in this case to the topic of “quality assurance”. We constantly set new standards here in order to offer our customers the degree of quality and safety that they should expect from us.
Beef, pork, lamb and veal specialities of over average quality are the benefits with which we set ourselves aside from others.
The KURTH QS programme implemented by us is strictly oriented towards legal regulations such as the requirements of the beef labelling system for traceability of foodstuffs. In addition, we are registered under the authorisation number De-05-1998-BLES 0020-0. HACCP and IFS standards are a matter of course. Additional individual internal control entities which go well beyond the legal regulations supplement this package of measures.
Step by step
"Quality management by KURTH" means quality control and monitoring over and beyond each stage of the production process – in the country of origin, during transport and at the destination.
Own offices in countries of origin such as Argentina or Brazil allow round-the-clock on-site control and assessment of our suppliers and their goods. Our graduated quality inspectors are top trained, are familiar with the country and people and know what is involved. They are deployed daily and control each stage of production in selected slaughtering and meat packing plants.
Furthermore, independent representatives of external control institutes are constantly deployed for KURTH.
Prevention instead of dealing with complaints
Quality assurance always adopts a forefront position with us – in the true sense of the word!
Production of high quality cuts describes a process chain composed of many links. The teams of our quality network are always the first instance that becomes noticeable in this case: suppliers are inspected before any contract is entered into with them, animals are examined before processing, potential gaps in the cold chain are analysed before shipping, entry controls are performed before storage in the refrigerated warehouse and so on – a list that could be continued at will:
• Selection of suitable breeders and processing companies,
• Determination of breed and specifications of the animals (weight, age, etc.),
• Defined rearing conditions (natural fodder, no auxiliary agents etc.),
• Selection of optimally fattened animals,
• Division and cutting according to KURTH standards,
• Vacuum packing in special containers,
• Refrigerated transport under controlled containers,
• Sensorial goods reception controls,
• Storage under optimum temperature conditions,
• Regular veterinary controls,
• 100% refrigerated warehouse hygiene,
• Goods dispatch control,
• etc., etc.
With this strategy, it is possible to combat any possible quality defects – unreliable suppliers, non-optimum products etc. – right at the source.
Quality management by KURTH – a promise that you can trust! |
